How Fieldwork OS came to be

Tom has always been inspired by people who see the world as it can be. In his first job, he tried to democratize access to justice by helping people navigate small claims court and articulate their demands. He saved people from years of delays and helped them reach out-of-court settlements — not as a lawyer, but by leveraging technology.

At Palate, he focused on helping the plant-based industry earn more buy-in from consumers by improving branding and positioning perceptions, while providing sensory feedback to food scientists working to close the gap between intention and experience.

Fundamentally, these experiences led him to believe that consistent use of data helps blend the art and science of changing the world.
